Will Allen returns to Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins turned the page on veteran defensive back Will Allen, letting go of him just before the season opener.

But after seeing how Tom Brady picked apart the Miami secondary on Monday night for 517 yards, the Dolphins have decided to bring back Allen, according to the South Florida Sun Sentinel.

On Tuesday, the Dolphins had made Benny Sapp, who surrendered the 99-yard pass play from Brady to Wes Welker, one of the fall guys in the fallout from the embarrassing performance.

Allen, who signed a one-year contract, should take over as the Dolphins nickelback immediately.
