UT's McCoy expects to be healthy for NFL Combine

From ESPN.com:

AUSTIN, Texas -- Colt McCoy says his injured right arm is healing and should be 100 percent in about two weeks, giving him plenty of time to prepare for the NFL combine.

The former Texas quarterback was knocked out of the Citi BCS National Championship Game early in the 37-21 loss to Alabama. A hit on his shoulder pinched a nerve and caused his throwing arm to go numb.

On Thursday, McCoy was announced as the winner of the Manning Award as the nation's best college quarterback. In a conference call with reporters, McCoy said he met with sports doctor James Andrews in Birmingham, Ala., on Monday and was told he'll have a full recovery without surgery.

"He basically told me I would be fine with two weeks of rehab," McCoy said.

"I certainly expect to go and do things at the combine" in February, McCoy said. "I'm doing much better now."
