Rosenhaus in Philly in effort to woo McCoy back?

It’s not unusual to see Drew Rosenhaus at NFL stadiums across the country.

He represents so many clients and he travels so much that he pops up regularly as you make your way around the league.

But it was unusual to see Rosenhaus and his brother and partner Jason on Sunday at Chickie’s & Pete’s, a sports bar in South Philadelphia just blocks from Lincoln Financial Field and the Eagles’ NovaCare complex. They were there watching the games, in town in advance of the game tonight between the Chicago Bears and Eagles. I just happened to be there myself watching games as well.

It’s fair to assume the Rosenhaus brothers were also in town in an effort to woo back Philadelphia running back LeSean McCoy, who has fired them as agents, according to a report Sunday by Jason La Canfora at NFL.com. It’s the second time in a year McCoy has parted ways with them. Multiple media reports have since confirmed the parting of ways.

McCoy, who entered this week second in the NFL in rushing, is seeking a new contract. His rookie deal runs through 2012. Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson is also seeking a new contract and is also represented by Drew Rosenhaus. So, you have two star offensive players looking for a big piece of the same pie. It could be that McCoy is concerned about a conflict of interest. We’re not putting words in his mouth, but the pie is only so big and both players want a big slice.
