Report: Santana Moss owes IRS more than $258,000

Instead of going deep, Santana Moss may have to dig deep to settle up his score with the Internal Revenue Service.

The Washington Redskins wide receiver owes more than $258,000 in back taxes, according to the Detroit News.</p>

Last month, the IRS filed a tax lien against Moss in Broward County Circuit Court. The IRS says Moss owes taxes dating back to 2006. According to the report, Moss earned $1.9 million that season.

The IRS filed a lien against an office suite in Boca Raton, Fla. Moss reportedly owns a $5.2 million mansion in Lighthouse Point, Fla.

The IRS loves making examples of high-profile folks who don't handle their tax obligations. Moss should consider that when deciding how quickly to settle his debts.
