Report: Eagles add safety O.J. Atogwe
The Philadelphia Eagles have added depth for their secondary by agreeing to a deal with veteran safety O.J. Atogwe.
Chris Russell of ESPN 980 in Washington reports that Atogwe is headed from the Washington Redskins to another NFC East team. Atogwe spent one unremarkable season with the Redskins, and some scouts have knocked him to the NFP for not being more physical.
Atogwe was a standout with the St. Louis Rams for six seasons and he enters a position the Eagles have been working to rebuild. Nate Allen and Kurt Coleman are atop the depth chart for the Eagles right now. Perhaps the 31-year-old Atogwe can reignite his career in Philadelphia.
