Report: Dolphins fear Henne injury could be season-ending

Chad Henne's injured non-throwing shoulder could put his entire season in jeopardy, according to a report from Jeff Darlington of NFL.com.

Henne suffered a separated shoulder in the first half of the Dolphins' loss Sunday in San Diego, leaving Matt Moore to finish up as the Dolphins dropped to 0-4.

The Dolphins are awaiting the second opinion on the shoulder, and it is possible that Henne might be able to return to play when Miami returns from its bye and faces the New York Jets on Oct. 17, but all plans are tenuous right now regarding Henne.

Tenuous enough that Jason LaCanfora says the Dolphins have reached out to both David Garrard and Jake Delhomme in an effort to sign one of them.
