Redskins will begin OTA's without you-know-who

The Washington Redskins will kick off their first OTA today in Ashburn, Va., and they’re expected to have near perfect attendance with the exception of you-know-who.

Defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth is not expected to participate in the voluntary sessions, according to the Washington Post. The players have had a week off since their most recent minicamp.

"I think the intensity is going to be the same, I think the mental focus is going to be there," linebacker Chris Wilson said. "It's kind of like in school, any time you're learning something new, it's easy to focus because it's new and it's exciting. I'm looking forward to it."

Coach Mike Shanahan will run three OTA’s this week through Wednesday, and the team will either plot a future with Haynesworth whenever he decides to show up, or quietly work to make him an ex-Redskin.
