Redskins hire Bill Callahan

The Washington Redskins have hired former Dallas Cowboys offensive coordinator and offensive line coach Bill Callahan, signing him to a three-year contract to become their offensive line coach.

Callahan worked for the Oakland Raiders previously as head coach.

He made it to the Super Bowl. He worked previously for Jon Gruden in Oakland. Jay Gruden, Jon's brother, is the Redskins' head coach.

Callahan was the play-caller initially, but was replaced by Scott Linehan.

Callahan is a well-established line coach.

Last season, the Redskins allowed 58 sacks.
