Redskins could turn to north for some help, eh

As the Washington Redskins finish a restructuring of their front office that began with the arrival of Bruce Allen late last season, they’re looking to hire a few folks.

One of those hires could lead them north of the border. The Redskins are considering bringing in Jim Popp, the general manager of the Montreal Alouettes in the Canadian Football League, reports Rick Maese of the Washington Post.

Popp has been the GM of the Alouettes for the last 15 seasons and his teams have reached 14 division championships and nine Grey Cups. He’s only one the championship three times, but hey, he sure knows how to get there.
