Panthers' Wes Horton suspended four games, Stephen Hill for one game

Carolina Panthers defensive end Wes Horton has been suspended without pay for the next four games for violating the NFL policy on performance enhancing substances. He will be eligible to return to the active roster on Dec. 21. In eight games with two starts this season, Horton recorded eight tackles, one sack and six quarterback pressures. During his first two seasons, Horton played in 26 games with 15 starts and posted 34 tackles, five sacks, nine quarterback pressures, one forced fumble and one pass defensed. Meanwhile, wide receiver Stephen Hill has been suspended without pay for one game for violating the NFL policy and program for substances of abuse. Hill, who is on injured reserve after suffering a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee during training camp, will begin serving his suspension immediately.
