Ochocinco believes Dolphins are serious about him

Wide receiver Chad Ochocinco, released last week by the New England Patriots, is optimistic that the Miami Dolphins could be his new landing spot, says the Miami Herald.

A source close to the 34-year-old receiver told the newspaper he believes the Dolphins have genuine interest in Ochocinco, who is coming off a career-worst season with only 15 receptions for the Patriots in 2011.

The Dolphins could be in the market for a veteran receiver since dealing Brandon Marshall to the Chicago Bears. Their current list at the position doesn't exactly bring to mind memories of the Marks Brothers (Duper and Clayton), Nat Moore or Paul Warfield.

Miami's receiving corps includes Brian Hartline, Davone Bess, Legedu Naanee, Marlon Moore, Roberto Wallace, Julius Pruitt and Clyde Gates and five rookies.
