NoVorro Bowman begins sprinting in rehab

It looks like 49ers linebacker NoVorro Bowman is on pace with his rehab.

Bowman, who tore his ACL in the NFC Championship against Seattle this past January, began sprinting during his rehab process. Bowman is on the reserve/physically unable to perform list at this time, meaning he'll miss the first six games of the season. There will be a three-week grace period for him to return after that as well.

The 49ers are counting on Bowman returning this season. And judging by how Bowman has looked during his rehab, coach Jim Harbaugh appears optimistic that he will be able to contribute this season.

“I must admit there’s times when I look out of my peripheral vision and see them doing their workouts on the turf over there,” Harbaugh said, via the team's official website. “It looked like he was moving pretty good, so that’s very positive.”
