Martellus Bennett staying busy working with Stephen McGee

Martellus Bennett hasn’t rocked the boat lately by suggesting anything silly like the Dallas Cowboys have a full-fledged quarterback competition between Tony Romo and Jon Kitna.

In fact, the tight end didn’t have anything controversial to say at a charity basketball game. He told the Dallas Morning News about staying busy training this offseason in McKinney, Texas, and doing his part to remain ready.

I've been trying to stay sexy,” Bennett joked, according to the report.

Since the Cowboys took a break from their player-run workouts, Bennett has been getting together with No. 3 quarterback Stephen McGee.

“We did a whole month of team stuff, and then Tony got married. He's probably still on his honeymoon. I don't know where he's at,” Bennett quipped.

So, Bennett meets up with McGee and gets his work in.

"Our playbook is so detailed, so for the most part, we've been getting together. Romo's doing a great job,” Bennett said. “Everybody's been doing a great job communicating with each other and staying in touch with each other, even if it's just to hang out.”

Not one mention of Kitna.
