Marshawn Lynch was not present for the opening of OTA’s on Monday but Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said he thought the running back could show up before the team’s 10 practices conclude on June 6.

There was no explanation for where Lynch was but Carroll noted the workouts are voluntary in nature. The running back is healthy so at least that is not a concern.

“He came in 10 days ago and he's in very good shape,” Carroll said, according to Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times. “He's working an intense program in his area and he is benefiting from it. We'd love to see everybody here.”

Robert Turbin ran with the starters in the absence of Lynch, who rushed for a career-high 1,590 yards and 11 touchdowns last season as he buoyed the Seattle offense while rookie quarterback Russell Wilson developed.
