Mara says Coughlin contract 'will be done sooner rather than later'

The New York Giants picked up their Super Bowl rings on Wednesday night and soon the expectation is coach Tom Coughlin will pick up a new contract.

That is what owner John Mara said at the ceremony, according to ESPN New York.

We're working on it,” Mara said, per the report. “It will be done sooner rather than later.”

Coughlin, who has guided the Giants two Super Bowl titles in the last four years, is entering the final year of his contract. Coughlin, 65, has hinted that he might want to coach into his 70’s.
