A man described as a friend of Houston Texans defensive end Antonio Smith has drowned in the player's swimming pool at his suburban Houston home, according to the Associated Press.

Foul play is not suspected but an autopsy will be performed.

According to the report, a birthday party had been held at Smith's house in Richmond, Texas, on Saturday night.
