Lovie Smith filling out staff, hires Hardy Nickerson

Tampa Bay Buccaneers coach Lovie Smith annoucned the hire of 11 assistant coaches.

Besides offensive coordinator Jeff Tedfor and defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier, the Buccaneers also hired Kevin O'Dea as special teams coordinator and former Buccaneers standout middle linebacker Hardy Nickerson as linebackers coach.

The Buccaneers hired Marcus Arroyo as quarterbacks coach; Joe Cullen as defensive line coach; Andrew Hayes-Stoker as wide receivers coach; Dave Kennedy as head strength and conditioning coach; Larry Marmie as senior defensive assistant; Mikal Smith as safeties coach; Tim Spencer as running backs coach; Ben Steele as quality control coach; and Matt Wiegand as assistant offensive line coach.

Mikal Smith is Lovie Smith's coach.
