Lions plan on having Matthew Stafford Sunday at Denver

Matthew Stafford is listed as questionable and the Detroit Lions are planning on seeing the quarterback start Sunday at Denver.

Stafford participated fully in practice on Friday for the first time since suffering a sprained right ankle on the final offensive snap last Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons, according to the Detroit Free Press. He was limited earlier in the week and the club was bracing for him to miss the game. The Lions certainly have adjusted to playing without Stafford the previous two seasons when serious injuries forced him to miss considerable time. He missed 13 games in 2010.

“A lot of things can happen between now and Sunday,” Detroit coach Jim Schwartz said. “I’ve learned not to make decisions on Fridays. Good and bad things have happened on Fridays or Saturdays.”

If for some reason Stafford is not available, Shaun Hill will be the starter.
