Lions might need a new kicker before Sunday's game

The Detroit Lions could be without veteran kicker Jason Hanson on Sunday in Chicago.

Hanson is dealing with an injured left knee, and the team had two kickers in for a tryout on Wednesday – Rhys Lloyd and Shayne Graham. Hanson did not practice and it remains to be seen if the team will sign a free agent, according to Philip Zaroo of MLive.com.

Lloyd has been considered a kickoff specialist in the past, and he has played for special teams coordinator Danny Crossman in Carolina previously. The Lions could wait until Friday or Saturday to make a move, depending on how Hanson comes along.
