Lions awarded Jon Baldwin off waivers

The Detroit Lions were awarded wide receiver Jon Baldwin off waivers from the San Francisco 49ers.

Baldwin was cut one year after trading for him from the Kansas City Chiefs in exchange for wide receiver A.J. Jenkins.

Baldwin is a 2011 Chiefs first-round draft pick.

Baldwin was released as the 49ers claimed wide receiver L'Damian Washington off waivers from the Cowboys.

Last season, Baldwin played in seven games for the 49ers with one start and caught three passes for 28 yards. For his career, Baldwin has 44 receptions for 607 yards and a touchdown.
