Kellen Moore has been 'great' in camp with Lions

Kellen Moore knew entering training camp he was not going to be handed the third quarterback job for the Detroit Lions.

Not after the club added R.J. Archer to the mix after Moore reportedly struggled through offseason work after the Boise State product joined the Lions as an undrafted free agent.

According to Anwar Richardson of MLive.com, Moore has looked better this summer.

“Kellen has such a great background, and has such a great command of offensive football already with what we're doing," Lions offensive coordinator Scott Linehan said. "I think he's had a great (training camp). It's been kind of quiet because we don't do a whole lot with the three's, but he's really taken his game to another level from our offseason program and OTAs.”

Obviously, the test for Moore will be performing well in preseason action. As a No. 3, he could see significant playing time in the first and fourth preseason games. It’s a time for him to shine.
