Jets to visit with lineman Peterman

The New York Jets, having let both Matt Slauson and Brandon Moore enter free agency, are in the market for guards.

Today, per the New York Daily News, the Jets are hosting Detroit Lions free agent guard Stephen Peterman for a visit.

Peterman has spent the past seven seasons with the Lions, starting 86 games, including not missing any games the past two seasons.

Peterman is a possible replacement for Moore, who of course, became infamous for being the prop in Mark Sanchez's butt-fumble. Peterman himself has surely seen plenty in a comedy of errors himself, having been part of the Lions' 0-16 team in 2008.
