Jaguars sign receiver Brandon Wimberly, cut offensive tackle DeMarcus Love

The Jacksonville Jaguars signed rookie wide receiver Brandon Wimberly and cut offensive tackle DeMarcus Love.

Wimberly is a 6-foot-3, 225-pounder who tried out for the Jaguars at a rookie minicamp.

He was a four-time All-Mountain West selection at Nevada, playing in 49 career games.

He led the team with 97 catches for 989 yards and eight touchdowns as a senior. H

He earned first-team all-conference honors as a junior with 70 receptions for 845 yards and four touchdowns.

He missed the 2011 season due to medical reasons.

In 2009, he was named WAC Freshman of the Year after totaling 46 catches for 653 yards and five touchdowns.
