Greg Jennings 'extremely frustrated' with groin injury

Greg Jennings injured his groin muscle on the final series of the season opener against the San Francisco 49ers, sat out the following week against the Chicago Bears and the injury is still lingering for the Green Bay Packers’ top wide receiver.

Jennings played in Week 3 but removed himself midway through the game this past Sunday against the New Orleans Saints and according to Rob Demovsky of the Green Bay Press-Gazette, he is likely to be out this week and possibly longer.

Extremely frustrated, honestly,” Jennings said of the situation, per the report. “Trying not to let it completely overtake me, and let it become overwhelming. Again, seven years playing this game at this level I’ve never experienced what I’ve experienced this year. It’s new territory for me, but I’m getting through it.”

Jennings, who is in a contract year, missed two weeks in training camp with a concussion. What would make sense at this point is for him to sit until he’s better and good to go. Unfortunately, the bye week for the Packers does not come until Week 10 so it isn’t timely for him right now. With any luck, he will be full speed by then. The offense could use him. That is for sure.
