Feds find Packers Super Bowl ring with Mexican drug traffickers

A 2010 Green Bay Packers Super Bowl ring that was reportedly stolen from a team executive was among the items seized in a federal drug sting in the Chicago area.

The ring was with heroin, weapons and other jewelry that was taken from a Mexican drug-trafficking outfit, according to the Chicago Tribune. What’s not known is how the group came to possess the ring. Agents secured 20 kilograms of heroin, $1.4 million in cash and 18 weapons as well as the jewelry.

Six defendants remain in federal custody.
