Falcons not retaining Chase Coffman

The Atlanta Falcons have no plans to retain tight end Chase Coffman.

That's according to Coffman himself.

Coffman announced the decision from the Falcons on Twitter.

"Well it's been fun Atlanta," Coffman wrote. "I've been told I won't be offered a contract back. Looking forward to my next opportunity."

Coffman played in 11 games last season with no receptions.

A former Cincinnati Bengals third-round draft pick from Missouri, he has four career catches.
