Dolphins place Dustin Keller on injured reserve, sign Nathan Williams

The Miami Dolphins have placed veteran tight end Dustin Keller on injured reserve and signed linebacker Nathan Williams to replace him on the roster.

Keller, 28, shredded his right knee when he was hit by Houston Texans safety D.J. Swearinger.

Keller tore his anterior cruciate ligament, medial collateral ligament and posterior cruciate ligament and dislocated his knee.

"I want everyone to know that as disappointing as this is I don't want anybody feeling sorry for me," Keller said in an email to NFL.com. "I promise I'm going to come back stronger, faster and be a better player than before. I'd like to thank all my family, friends and teammates for their prayers and support."
