Colts worked out Jacksonville University wide receiver Andy Jones this week

Athletic Jacksonville University wide receiver Andy Jones worked out for the Indianapolis Colts this week, according to a league source.

He previously visited the Jacksonville Jaguars and Arizona Cardinals.

At 6-1, 217 pounds, Jones has run the 40-yard dash in 4.50 seconds at the Jacksonville University Pro Day on April 1 where he had a 41 1/2 inch vertical leap that tied for the best at the NFL scouting combine by Florida State cornerback-safety Jalen Ramsey.

He also participated in defensive back drills along with top cornerback Vernon Hargreaves at the Baltimore Ravens' request  at the University of Florida Pro Day on March 22 and did exceptionally well.  He with the Cardinals, Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Jets following the Gators' Pro Day.

Jones improved significantly at the JU Pro Day on his numbers from the Gators' Pro Day where, at 6-1, 211 pounds,  he had a 40 1/2 inch vertical leap, a 10-7 broad jump and a 4.53 40-yard dash.

He had 144 catches, for 2,120 receiving yards and 17 touchdowns for his career.
