Colts interception started Patriots' deflated ball controversy

When Indianapolis Colts veteran linebacker D'Qwell Jackson intercepted a pass and gave it to an equipment manager, it was noticed that the football seemed deflated.

That raised questions into where the New England Patriots deflated the football, which is now being investigated by the NFL.

"If something is noticed, it’s not unheard of for a ball to be removed from circulation and then tested during the week for whatever issue there was," NFL vice president of officiating Dean Blandino said.

Patriots coach Bill Belechick was once fined $500,000 for the SpyGate scandal.

“I can’t imagine,'' Belichick said in a conference call. "I really don’t know what to say or know anything about what we’re talking about here. Whatever it is, we’ll cooperate with them the best we can.”
