Chargers claim Chas Alecxih

The San Diego Chargers claimed former Kansas City Chiefs defensive tackle Chas Alecxih off waivers.

The 6-foot-3, 304 pounder had signed with the Chiefs in January.

Alecxih originally signed with the Miami Dolphins in 2012 after playing collegiately at the University of Pittsburgh. He spent all but the opening week of the 2012 season on the Dolphins’ practice squad.

Alecxih was waived by the Dolphins in May 2013 and remained out of football until signing with the Chiefs this January.

At Pitt, Alecxih played in 41 career games with 26 starts, collecting 127 tackles, 33 tackles for loss and 20 sacks, along with three forced fumbles, an interception and a blocked kick.
