The Arizona Cardinals have yet to announce a decision at quarterback but signs point to John Skelton starting again Saturday in Cincinnati.

Kevin Kolb was held out last week with a concussion and it could be he’s on the bench for a second consecutive week.

According to Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic, Skelton received a “few more” reps in practice than Kolb. But it was Kolb who delivered the most compelling evidence when he said he was “feeling all right. I wouldn’t say normal.”

Skelton has performed well in fill-in duty this season and the Cardinals are 5-1 in games he starts or plays the majority of the time. He’s been terrific in the fourth quarter too and has shown a great deal of growth from last season.

Arizona coach Ken Whisenhunt was coy about the situation and said he doesn’t have to make a decision just yet. The players are showing confidence in Skelton and it wouldn’t surprise us one bit if he finishes the season as the starter.
