Caleb King gets out of jail to learn he's been waived

Caleb King was released from the Anoka County Jail on Tuesday just in time to learn the Minnesota Vikings had placed him on waivers.

King, a running back who spent nearly all of last season on the team’s practice squad, was arrested Saturday after he allegedly fractured the skull of a Coon Rapids man Andrew Hayek, leaving him also with facial injuries. King was not charged but formal charges could be forthcoming.

The Vikings apparently aren’t going to wait around and see how this plays out in the courts. According to the Minneapolis Star Tribune, Hayek is 5-6, 130 pounds. King is listed at 5-11, 217 pounds.
