Bills to honor Ralph Wilson with jersey patch

The Buffalo Bills will honor late owner Ralph Wilson with a commemorative jersey patch during this season.

The patch will be introduced on the jersey of the Bills' first-round draft pick tonight.

The Bills will also honor Wilson during the first regular-season home game.

“Ralph would be humbled to see such a tribute in his honor, worn proudly by a team that meant so much to him,” said Mary Wilson, wife of Ralph Wilson, Jr., and controlling owner of the Bills, in a statement. “The patch is a fitting acknowledgement of his commitment to the players, the team, and the Western New York area, and our family is touched by the outpouring of support and remembrance.”
