Bills acquire Matt Cassel in trade from Vikings
The Buffalo Bills have landed a quarterback.
The Bills traded for veteran quarterback Matt Cassel and an undisclosed draft pick in exchange for undisclosed draft picks.
Cassel has a $4.15 million salary, a $500,000 roster bonus in March and a $100,000 workout bonus.
Cassel comes to Buffalo after spending the past two seasons in Minnesota, playing in a dozsen games for the Vikings while completing 194 of 325 pass attempts for 2,232 yards, 14 touchdowns and 13 interceptions.
The 10-year veteran has played in 90 games in his career, starting 71, while completing 1,397-of-2,369 pass attempts for 15,727 yards, 96 touchdowns and 70 interceptions.
Cassel is a former New England Patriots seventh-round draft pick.
Cassel spent four years with the Patriots before being traded to the Kansas City Chiefs in 2009. Cassel was in Kansas City until he joined the Vikings in 2013.
