Biggs: Redskins hire two more assistants

The Washington Redskins continue to piece together their coaching staff.

Today, the organization announced that Steve Jackson will be retained as safeties coach and Sean McVay has been hired as an offensive assistant.

Jackson was hired by the Redskins in 2004 when Joe Gibbs came back for his second tour, and he helped tutor the late Sean Taylor to two Pro Bowl appearances. He’ll be charged with raising the level of play of LaRon Landry, who had a career-high 98 tackles last season.

McVay worked under newly hired Redskins defensive coordinator Jim Haslett in the UFL with the Florida Tuskers. He was a wide receivers/quality control coach, and was an offensive assistant in Tampa Bay in 2008.
