Biggs: Redskins' Chris Samuels to hang 'em up
The Washington Redskins entered the season undermanned and inexperienced on the offensive line, and they just took a massive blow as perennial Pro Bowl left tackle Chris Samuels has made the decision to walk away from the game before a neck injury he suffered causes him a potentially dangerous injury.
Jason Reid of the Washington Post reported that Samuels, who saw a specialist in California this week, has made his decision known at Redeskins Park. The 10-year veteran was hurt two weeks ago in a stunning come-from-ahead loss by the Redskins at Carolina.
Washington signed veteran Levi Jones earlier this week. Stephon Heyer could get the first crack at the job. It’s not a goos setup.
