Biggs: Good seats remain for Rams-Lions, lots of 'em

Lions fans in Detroit who don’t want to head to Ford Field on Sunday are going to have to head 75 miles out of town if they want to see a team that might be able to match the ineptitude of 0-16.

According to the Detroit News, 10,000 tickets remain for the Lions’ meeting with the St. Louis Rams (0-7). The team has until 1 p.m. today to sell the remaining tickets and avoid a local television blackout, or convince the NFL it is close enough to peddle the remaining tickets by 1 p.m. Friday with a 24-hour extension.

The Lions have sold out two of their three home games this season after fans stayed away in masses near the end of last season. The only home game the Lions sold out in their final six last year was Thanksgiving Day.
