Bengals: No plans to trade Palmer

Cincinnati Bengals owner Mike Brown has no plans to include disgruntled quarterback Carson Palmer in a trade, as the trade deadline approaches on Tuesday.

According to the Cincinnati Enquirer, Brown said, "I don't have anything more to say on that. I’ve had my say on that, and it remains all there is to say" regarding any deal in the works to get something for Palmer.

Palmer asked for a trade in the off-season and when the Bengals refused to oblige, he retired rather than play for them this season, walking away from an $11 million salary. The Bengals retained his rights by placing him on the reserve/did not report list.
