Bengals ink Vontaze Burfict to $20 million deal

The Cincinnati Bengals signed linebacker Vontaze Burfict to a four-year, $20 milliojn contract.

He'll make $7.6 million this year.

Previously, Burfict was due just $570,000 this season.

The former undrafted free agent has developed into a Pro Bowl defender after entering the NFL surrounded by questions about his character, work ethic and stopwatch speed.

Burfict can hit free agency again when hes' 27.

Burfict chose to get paid now rather than wait.
