Belichick, Welker over flap from last season

The playoff flap between New England Patriots coach and Denver Broncos wide receiver Wes Welker, a former Patriot, is over.

Welker knocked Aqib Talib, who's now with the Broncos, out of the game with a block Belichick characterized as “one of the worst plays I’ve seen.”

Heading into a rematch this week, Belichick has moved on.

“Way past that,” Belichick said. “I have a lot of respect for Wes and what he did for us and what he’s done for the Broncos and what he’s done throughout his career.”

So has Welker.

“I moved on to getting ready for the Super Bowl,” Welker said. “So, it’s the same for me. It’s in the past and I’m just really kind of looking forward to this game.”
