Bears will be without Pisa Tinoisamoa on Thursday night
The Chicago Bears will be without strong-side linebacker Pisa Tinoisamoa Thursday night when they play the Miami Dolphins at Sun Life Stadium.
Tinoisamoa was ruled out today with a knee injury. The Bears listed him as limited on the injury report after practice on Tuesday. The expectation is that veteran Nick Roach, who has made 24 starts, including 15 last season, will start in his place.
Tinoisamoa missed 14 games last season with knee issues, and underwent surgery before the season was over. He re-signed with the Bears in the offseason, receiving a one-year contract. He missed most of the offseason program while he rehabilitated, but came on strong in training camp to claim the job.
The Bears had trouble keeping their linebackers healthy last season but they’ve had good health overall this season. Veteran linebacker Hunter Hillenmeyer is the only player with experience on injured reserve.
