Babin tried to intervene in Blackmon argument

Justin Blackmon's sideline tirade not only was directed at cornerback Nolan Carroll of the Miami Dolphins, but also at teammate Jason Babin, who, according to Mark Long of the Associated Press told the injured receiver to "pipe down" in the wake of his four-game suspension.

Blackmon then directed his anger and arguing toward Babin, per the report, and was eventually escorted to the locker room by teammate Maurice Jones-Drew to cool off.

Blackmon is suspended for the first four games of the season and is currently out with a groin injury. It doesn't sound as if the former first-round pick is endearing himself to Coach Gus Bradley and his staff.

Bradley, per the Florida Times-Union was late to his post-game press conference after meeting with Blackmon.

“You know how it is in the preseason,” Bradley said. “Sometimes a player talks to the sideline. It started off as just banter and I just addressed it. I turned to him and said, ‘There’s no place [for that]. I’d rather you use your energy to encourage our guys and not get caught in tha
