Alleged attacker of Redskins' return man no longer monitored
The man who allegedly stabbed Washington Redskins return man Brandon Banks outside a D.C. nightclub in February has been released from electronic monitoring.
Jason Shorter, of Laurel, Md., stabbed Banks, according to police, outside The Park and punctured his lung, leading to a week-long stay in the hospital in a bizarre case where misinformation about Banks’ condition was rampant.
Shorter has been ordered to return to court for a hearing on May 18, according to the Washington Post. He has been charged with attacking Banks and his friend. Shorter must check in weekly with pre-court services, and has been ordered to stay away from the nightclub as well as Banks.
