5-star Auburn commit could be in hot water

Class of 2013 defensive tackle Dee Liner reportedly has had a very eventful past two weeks.

The current headliner of Auburn's 2013 recruiting haul has been arrested for criminal trespassing, which would be his second offense in ten days, according to WAFF-TV in Huntsville.

The 6-3, 270-pound Alabama native was arrested Wednesday morning after allegedly jumping a fence at a public pool along with a group of others. The criminal trespassing charge is a misdemeanor, and no court date has been set.

However, a brush with the law on July 1 may be the most serious charge. On that day, Liner was reportedly arrested after an altercation with a female cop who had pulled over his mother. The police report states that Liner approached the scene in a second car and began "screaming, cursing and throwing objects" at the officer. He is scheduled to appear in court on August 23 on misdemeanor charges of disorderly conduct and obstructing government operations.

The near-consensus five-star prospect from Muscle Shoals High School, who recently took unofficial visits to Alabama and Southern Cal despite publicly stating that he remains committed to Auburn, is arguably the best defensive tackle in the 2013 class. Of course, the Tigers will not be allowed to comment on the arrests because they involve a recruit. Until Liner signs an official Letter of Intent in February, Auburn cannot put out a public comment.

Although one could imagine how privately upset Auburn head coach Gene Chizik is by this news.
