49ers activate Quinton Dial

The San Francisco 49ers have activated rookie defensive tackle Quinton Dial from the reserve-non-football injury list.

The fifth-round draft pick from Alabama missed the first six games with an injured toe.

The injury was suffered prior to being drafted by the 49ers.

The 6-foot-5, 318-pounder was selected 157th overall, recording 45 tackles, 2 1/2 sacks and 7 1/2 tackles for losses in two seasons at Alabama

Dial started practicing this week.
