The San Diego Chargers promoted offensive tackle Kenny Wiggins to the active roster from the practice squad, cutting rookie tackle Nick Becton.
The Chargers tried out offensive tackle Willie Smith earlier this week, but didn't sign him despite King Dunlap dealing with a neck injury.
Wiggins is a first-year player from Fresno State who was signed to the practice squad in September.
Wiggins signed with San Francisco as an undrafted rookie in 2011. He was released at the end of his rookie training camp and later spent five weeks on the Ravens' practice squad. He re-signed with the 49ers in 2012 and spent the entire 2012 season on their practice squad. Wiggins went to training camp again with San Francisco in 2013, but was released at the end of training camp.
