New England Patriots cornerback Brandon Browner's three-year, $16.8 maximum value contract includes $1 million guaranteed, according to a league source.
The $1 million is through a 2014 base salary fully guaranteed for skill, injury and salary cap.
Browner won't make $470,000 due to a four-game suspension and an additional four game checks in fines for a violation of the NFL substance-abuse policy.
In 2014, Browner can make as much as $4.33 million through $529,000 in salary, a $250,000 workout bonus, a $500,000 roster bonus paid for being on the 53-man roster for one game and a $150,000 per game active roster bonus, and $1.25 million in incentives. He has a $2.95 million salary-cap figure.
In 2015, Browner has a $1.9 million nonguaranteed base salary. There's a club option for 2015 that must be exercised by the end of the 2014 league year through a $2 million roster bonus.
He has $500,000 in incentives based on playing time and a $100,000 per game active roster bonus.
He has a $5.5 million salary-cap figure.
In 2016, Browner has a $2 million roster bonus that must be exercised by the last day of the 2015 league year to exercise a club option. He has a $500,000 roster bonus in 2015 deferred to March 31, 2016.
He has a $1.9 million nonguaranteed base salary, $500,000 in incentives, $100,000 roster bonus per game active and a $500,000 roster bonus deferred until March 31, 2017. He has a $5.5 million salary-cap figure.
