STRENGTHS - Booker has good overall athleticism and does a nice job of allowing the return to set up before attacking the kick coverage. He looks like a solid college kick returner and does an average job of returning kicks. Booker has more straight-line speed than lateral quickness and will hit a hole quickly.
WEAKNESSES - Booker has only 8 catches in2012 and does not appear to be a factor in Marshall's offense as a wide receiver. In this game, he touched the ball 4 times on kick-off returns and totaled 77 yards. Booker is a smaller player and he doesn't have elite play speed. He muffed a kickoff against Tulsa and recovered it himself. He doesn't look explosive as a returner. He doesn't look like he will run away from the kick coverage. In this game, he didn't line up as a WR on any play.
SUMMARY - Booker is returning kicks for Marshall as his role as a receiver appears very limited. He has only 8 catches in 2012 and his primary job is that of a kick returner. He looks athletic in the open field, but he doesn't appear real explosive and he doesn't look like a player who can make a difference as a returner. He has to focus better as he dropped a kick against Tulsa. He is a small, slender football player that won't likely last returning kicks in the NFL. His lack of size and burst will limit him at the next level. Overall, he is not worth drafting because of his size, limited skills and lack of future upside. However, he does have some athletic abilities and he could be a priority free agent for a team that needs a return man. He will have to add a lot of value to a special teams unit to have any chance at all.
