FRANKIE HAMMOND JR. WR, Florida

STRENGTHS - Hammond is a solid route runner. He plants well and gets off quick on the plant. Smooth and sharp. Hammond looks as though he will give you 100% effort on the field each and every down. Has good hands. Will get out in the open field and block. He will fight for the extra yards.

WEAKNESSES - Physicality on the outside blocks, needs to become better with his blocking technique. Needs to explode off the LOS better. Open field speed is a question mark. Hands can be somewhat of a question mark, both with catching and holding on to the ball, leaves the ball out there to get knocked away at times.

SUMMARY - Hammond is a solid college athlete, but I do not see him transitioning to the NFL with success. He does not show the ability to explode off of the LOS and beat his man one on one down the field. While I say he does play with 100% effort throughout the game, there are some extra things he needs to do such as coming back and attempt to make a block when the QB is scrambling. He also needs to get more physical when blocking down the field. He will try and block but he needs to become better and develop a better technique. Needs to secure the ball better when in the open field and when facing contact. Overall, while I doubt that Hammond will be drafted he will likely get a chance as a free agent. However, I think he will struggle to make an NFL roster.
